When I started my career as an internet marketing professional, I never had to think of any of the search engine consultants, because frankly speaking, there weren't any! However, I soon found out that my online sales needed more than the websites and the emailing that I did at that time. Even though I had very little idea on this and found it a bit vague, I tried to check out what one of the search engine consultants could do for me. I don't know how good the consultant was, but I understood that I really could do much more with SEO to aid me.

This can add a great potential to my site.

This will not only show me good traffic, but I can stay ahead of my competitors if the site is optimized better than theirs. So I get traffic, and I stay ahead of the competition!

Now I did try learning SEO myself, but it had too much on the plate for me to spend my time on. Especially when you consider the various factors related to on-page optimization and the off-page optimization, there are too many points to consider. It is not a task for you if you are running a business. The little bit of SEO I know is not enough to stay ahead in the competition today.
